Syria https://www.historic-uk.com/CultureUK/St-Valentines-Day/, a nation in the middle east, is renowned for its prosperous way of life and surprising traditions that have persisted in modern times. One of those customs is the syrian wedding, a luxurious event with many wholly original rituals that carries the weight of several dreams woven by the bride and groom for their special day.

While most Syrian couples today follow a more Western-inspired wedding ceremony, some still hold on to their grandparents’ customs. An arada band director from the Old City of Damascus, a grandmother from the Jaramana neighborhood in the mixed town of Salamiyah and a teacher from the Idlib district tell Syria Today that their families still practice some of these traditional marriage ceremonies.

Similar to other ethnicities, syrian males may show a woman’s home that they syrian girls for marriage are interested in her before proposing to her. If accepted, the male and his relatives are required to give her relatives the bride, which is a sizable sum of money.

The wedding and her community will rush at her residence for a rep from her dad’s household to appear when it is time to get married. The staff will then accompany the bride and her family to their new residence, where meals, beverage, and pastries will be served to them. The yalam, a traditional Assyrian Chaldean Syrian performance design, will then be started by the guests.

Usually, one woman leads the yalam while two other women alternately dance. The newlyweds will get escorted up to their automobile at the end of the evening and sent off with a song, applause, and beeping send-off.
